fashion friday - outerwear

i hate winter, and i hate wearing a coat. well let me change that - i hate winter after new year's. up to that point it's fun, cheery & i love the holidays. after that it's a drag. ok, back to the outerwear.  i'm not a fan of coats/jackets/outerwear. unless it's my black fleece, but let's face it, that's not exactly pretty. here's my wish list of outerwear. maybe if i had some of these i wouldn't mind wearing a coat so much?   j. crew   gap   f21

fashion friday - photo sesh

i got max's photos taken today. for the first time ever. (bad mommy moment) in my defense, my cousin who is very talented with the camera did a little photo op for us at 3 months, but nothing since then has happened.  and max is now 2. well, my friends, it was worth the wait, and i've only seen 1 photo so far, it's ADORABLE. that's me tooting my own horn. (proud mommy moment) he was actually fairly cooperative, which is not usually his style. he was actually a bit of a ham, posing (for chocolate chips), smiles & kisses galore. so, wanna know what we wore?? i know you do.  so here.

oh friday i've been waiting for you.  and today i have off work. and max is at daycare. it's mommy day - which should be filled with something fun. but is not.  well at least mostly not. it's filled with breakfast with a friend(fun!), hair cut, cleaning the house, laundry.  yeah, fun.     this post is as about much fun as today holds. until dinner that is.  (you'll find out what that is soon enough!)

i want a black blazer - asap.  but if you know me, you know i'm not dressy, frilly, or polished for that matter (most days anyway!).  so i'd have to edge it up, but i want one nonetheless.

a few things i'm digging lately. courtesy of pinterest.   i love blazers, but personally, they're just too polished for me.  i love this one though, it's casual enough that i could totally see me wearing this.   layers, layers, layers - love it.   cute way to take summer dresses into fall.  love tights & boots!   i pretty much love this outfit top to bottom.  i have about 4 of these hats and wear them all the time when the weather gets chilly.   denim, black and boots -- cuteee.     love black and brown.     what are you into for fall? 

fashion friday - jewelry finds

my sister had a stella dot trunk show this week. if you've never heard of them (you're from another planet!) go check them out. they have some amazing pieces.  yes it's pricier than the other cheap jewelry from parties. sorry, that stuff is cheap, and looks cheap too. this stuff is quality merchandise people.  and trust me, i'm not being paid to say it. oh, and it's super stylish and cute and totally up with the trends. celebs love it too, and i'm a total celeb stalker, so i know.   i got some awesome pieces of jewelry...

    the rebel pendant is SO me, and i fell madly in love with it the second i saw it.  the sidewinder studs?  i've been wanting those forev and finally got them.  then we have the pyramid studs - edgy yet feminine, my perfect combo.  above them we have the luna wrap.  i knew nothing of this until the show and the second i put it on i knew i had to own this.  best part about it?  it can be worn as a bracelet or necklace - score!  the leaf ring at the top my mom actually bought for me for christmas, so sadly i'll be counting down the days until i can wear that beauty!    

stella want by lyuro57 featuring stella & dot   these pieces i don't own...  yet.  but they're on my list.  the offset sidewinder necklace is gorgeous, i love the fact that it is in fact offset, and rose gold is just so darn pretty.  the renegade necklace in the center looks SO great on, that's another thing i've been eyeing for a long time now, so that's definitely going to be mine very soon.  then we come to the renegade long layering necklace, which i plan to get and wear with the renegade necklace in the center.  they look even cooler together.  the stacking rings are classic, and i can wear those every single day.  the turquoise earrings, well they're just pretty, period.  i only wear studs, so i love when i can find a a great pair like these.     happy {FASHION} friday!

fashion friday - fall, part 2

if you missed part 1 of my fall fashion must-haves, check it here. so what else do i love other than hoodies & cozy comfy cardis? flats & tall boots, duh! i only wear flats in spring and fall, summer is too hot, winter too cold. so they're a very seasonal thing for me, probably why i love 'em so much. and tall boots?  well i just love 'em.

riding boots are my thing lately.  they're so casual, but so stylish.  i love anything that is cute & comfy, it's a must for me.  i need something i can wear to work and to play.  i don't typically buy things that can only be worn on certain occasions, i buy for all occasions.  i love the two toned brown ones on the top right and the heeled ones in the center - i need a pair with heels!

Fashion Friday

i'm not sure how many times i've told you all how ready i am for fall.but i'll say it again - i'm so ready for fall! i'm excited for crisp air, fall flavors and mostly - FALL FASHION. a few things i always love for fall are flats, cozy sweaters, tall boots and hoodies. i'm dying to throw on a hoody, dying.
