I won't bore you with a big lecture on the benefits of drinking tons of water. So let's just say that it's SO good for you, and lots of it. I love water, always have. I drink tons of it every single day and don't mind just plain ol' h2o. But, I do like to spruce things up with lemon and lime juice and occasionally some fresh fruit and herbs. I saw THIS at Through the Eyes of the Mrs and knew I had to make it asap. Mine is slightly different than the original, so I'm posting my version. It was refreshing and delicious and we drank half of the batch already! SO if you're not huge on water, and don't drink enough of it, try this.
1 gallon water
half bag frozen strawberries
half bag frozen peaches
1 lemon, quartered
Add all of the ingredients in a large pitcher and refrigerate for one hour. Then drink up!
I'm a huge water fan, like I already said, so I could go on for days and days about how good it is for you and how many different ways you can drink it. So if you're not a water fan and need some ideas to get more in ya - here ya go...
Lemon juice, lime juice, fresh berries, frozen berries, fresh mint, fresh basil, oranges, grapefruit, cucumbers -- now, try them separate or experiment putting them together. It's hard to make a bad combo, I mean most things the flavors are so light they won't overpower and ruin water. Drink up people, water is soooooso good for you!
