pirate party

I knew months ago that Max's 2nd birthday would be a pirate party.  He is mildly obsessed with Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and honestly, how cute is a pirate theme for a little boy?!  So away I went, pinning every single pirate idea I could find.  It was a success.  Max had a total ball and I think everyone else enjoyed themselves too.

he was actually shaking with excitement over this cement mixer

I made all the food and cakes, with the help of my family.  It was at our house in our yard, so it was nothing fancy, but totally perfect.  The weather was beautiful and all of our closest family and friends were there to celebrate.  Max is a lucky little boy, so many people who love him shared his day with him.

Isn't it the best thing ever to see their little eyes light up and the excitement they have at something?! That is so cute he was that excited! I think my son would have been too! Something about boys and big toys/construction stuff!
